In order to follow a specific I-D, I have to search for it in the datatracker and click the "follow" icon in the search results. If I go directly to the document page from, say, the I-D announcement message, a working group page, or wherever, I have no "follow" icon to use.

This functionality was added some time back by putting [Track] and [Untrack] buttons directly on a document's main page.
